Founded in 1954, Dimlaj started out with a team full of inspired artists that had the vision to manufacture some of the most artistically unique and luxurious home-ware, tableware, and household products both on a regional and international level, and they have made a huge impact both across GCC regions and MENA by becoming a well-known pillar in hospitality, catering and hotel industries, and they still strive to enrich their products and services to become the ultimate masters of creating unique designs that suit all tastes. 

To keep improving their services, Dimlaj needed a new method to sustain their spectacularly high standards, with more than 200 employees and 16 warehouses, delving into the world of ERP systems appeared to be a revolutionary step towards the future to better manage their workflow and overcome some of the challenges that they stumbled upon in managing their business. The system they previously used was a local-made system that lacked integrations and didn't serve them in terms of needed flexibility and speed, which became more challenging to use and maintain. As a solution to this problem, they decided to reach out to a very reputable and a leading company in the world of ERP’s. Unfortunately, they had such an awful experience that ultimately led the project to failure due to imprecise implementation on several occasions. 

Finding an ERP system is a daunting task that requires careful consideration to choose the system that best complements one's needs. Therefore, the search quest went on and on, and the IT manager of Dimlaj was on the hunt for reliable software that could meet their essential business requirements.

After some extensive research, Dimlaj was excited to have found an Open-Source ERP system that could be tailored effortlessly to fit their requirements perfectly. They decided to dig deeper and test the numerous functions that Odoo offers and check whether it has the potential to fully manage their core operations. As a result, the company decided to upgrade its core operations, specifically in the Manufacturing and Inventory departments, and that's when they learned about Smart Way Business Solutions.

After several visits of demonstration and separate GAP analysis sessions, Smart Way was able to showcase the full capabilities of the system, and that encouraged the decision makers at Dimlaj to go with Odoo ERP, and they chose SWBS as an implementing partner after leaving an extraordinarily positive impression, displaying the extensive experience that it has using the system.

The scope of work was not easy to achieve since it required a lot of effort to complete for 30 users, but fortunately for Dimlaj, the implementation process ran smoothly since it required little customization because the majority of the business requirements were met by Odoo's pre-built modules. The process began with the implementation of MRP 1 and MRP 2 in the manufacturing department, followed by managing their inventory and replenishment process for 16 different warehouses, as well as implementing other modules such as the Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Point of Sale, Helpdesk, Quality Control, PLM, and DMS modules.

Every new beginning certainly comes with some difficulties, but everything can be achieved by learning and adapting to a recently developed project, yet in the case of Dimlaj, it took them less than 2 months to overcome the challenge and start using Odoo with all of its new advantages that came to fruition since they were able to quickly adapt to SWBS approach during implementation process.

Today, Dimlaj is thriving like never before with an unwavering vision toward the future as they always had the intention to expand their business internationally.
